Children have so much to offer to the world - Bishops Retreat serves children within our foster care system's most vulnerable population. We serve teens between the ages of 13-18. We believe that every child deserves a loving home and an opportunity to work within a team environment. At Bishops Retreat, we give teens within the foster care system the support they need in order to shape them into leaders of the future. We blend a group home setting with co-located farms to provide a number of educational programs and leadership initiatives that help nurture our youth and help them develop the skills they will carry throughout their lives. Our Services
We Provide Foster Homes that are Co-Located with Working Farms
Bishops Retreat flagship foster home will be located just outside of Houston, Texas. Each foster home will operate outside of a major metropolitan area within the United States and will be co-located with a working farm. Teens will learn the techniques of meat-goat farming, chicken farming and traditional framing, while having access to an exclusive charter school education and an opportunity to escape the rigors of metropolitan city life. At Bishops Retreat, we provide our youth with the skills they need to thrive in society.
